Spray Foam

Spray foam comes in two forms: open-cell and closed-cell. Open-cell spray foam has an R-value of R-3.5 to R-3.9 while closed-cell spray foam is denser with an R-value of R-6 to R-7. Closed-cell spray foam also works as moisture barrier.
Cellulose
Cellulose attic insulation is another popular choice for Murfreesboro and Nashville area homes. Made of recycled paper products such as newspaper, cardboard, and office paper, it’s treated with a flame retardant during manufacturing and comes in a loose fill form. An insulation blower is used to install blown in cellulose insulation into the attic at the appropriate thickness.
